How to get here
La Selva is only reachable by foot, a 15 minute walk on a pathway sloping down from Montepertuso just above Positano, or 25 minutes walk up from the main road Positano – Amalfi s.s.163 find the Bus stand “La Sponda” 50 mt down the road you will find the stairs to Fondazione Orfeo and just follow the signs pointing to ‘Associazione La Selva’ with little green tree drawn on the tiles. We also have available a cableway to transport luggage up from the road, located at the Vallone Porto on the s.s.163.

If arriving from the Florence-Naples motorway be careful as the directions are not clear. Once passing the Naples toll gate. After about 10 Kms towards Salerno-Reggia Calabria you need to come off at Castellamare di Stabia and follow signals for Sorrento. ( Avoid the signs for the Costiera Amalfitana which will take you the long way round.) Pass through the town of Meta and follow the directions to Positano (12kms). At the beginning of Positano follow the signal to Montepertuso (3kms). You can park under the soccer field in the white lines (non residents) or on the road being careful to leave enough room for other cars and buses to pass by. Walk around the left side of the football pitch and you’ll find the tiles signal that will lead you to La Selva. A 15 minute walk and you’ve arrived!
From Naples airport take the bus ‘Autolinee Curreri’ to Sorrento. (Click here for bus timetable). At Sorrento station change buses to the SITA line Sorrento-Amalfi (click here for SITA timetable). Get off the SITA at the stop ‘Positano-La Sponda and walk for about 50m in the direction of Amalfi where on the left you will find the tiles sign that will direct you to Associazione La Selva. From here it is a 20 minute walk uphill.
From Naples Central station a take the Circumvesuviana train (click her for timetable) and get off at either a Meta or Sorrento and take the SITA bus ( see directions by plane).
We advise you not to arrive too late in the evening as transport links are rare and you would have to walk in the dark. We advise you to bring a torch to use when walking at night.
